Brakes have a way of speaking up when they’re unhappy—they just don’t use words.

Here’s what they do use:

  • Squeaking or Screeching
That’s the wear indicator screaming, “Hey! I’m worn out!”

  • Grinding
This one’s serious—your brake pads may be gone, and you’re damaging your rotors.

  • Longer Stopping Distance
You press the pedal… and your car says “eh, I’ll think about it.”

  • Vibrations
If your steering wheel or pedal shakes while braking, your rotors may be warped.

  • Brake Light On
Your car isn’t just being dramatic. That light means business.

If you notice any of these, don’t wait. Brakes are the one part of your car that really can’t take a rain check.
